2. In brief

3. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by united-domains AG, Gautinger Straße 10, 82319 Starnberg, Germany. When you visit, the host’s server processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, browser identifier, referrer) to deliver the website securely and reliably (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The host deletes these logs after a short period. A data processing agreement with the host is in place (Art. 28 GDPR).

The connection is encrypted via TLS (HTTPS).

4. Request form (catalogue)

When you request the catalogue, we process the data you enter: name, institution, e-mail address and – if provided – your message. Purpose: to send you the link to the digital catalogue by e-mail and to reply to your request.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time with effect for the future by writing to curious@rolandwho.com, and responding to your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).

Your details are not stored in a database on the web server; they are only transmitted by e-mail (via the mail server of united-domains AG) to you and to curious@rolandwho.com. The e-mail is deleted once your request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

To prevent abuse (spam, mass requests), an encrypted check value (hash) of your IP address, from which the IP address cannot be recovered, is stored for no more than 24 hours (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Your IP address itself is neither stored nor sent by e-mail.

5. Digital catalogue

The digital catalogue is a static page on the same server. Viewing it only creates the server logs described in section 3. We do not record who views the catalogue or when.

6. Contact by e-mail

If you write to us by e-mail, we process your details in order to reply (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR).

7. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7 (3)). An e-mail to curious@rolandwho.com is sufficient.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example: The State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, www.datenschutz.bremen.de.
